Vega Aixalà Cellar tour and tasting
The cellar tour and tasting begins in the vineyard where you will experience the breathtaking landscape aboard a four-wheel drive. You will then be welcomed in the cellar to get a behind the scenes look at our wine making and meet the people who craft the wines. To cap off the journey, enjoy a tasting of different Vega Aixalà wines. We are located in a unique and spectacular place at 800-900 meters above sea level and nestled between mountains. Vega Aixalà vineyard’s llicorella (black slate and quartz) soil and the continental climate are just perfect for producing quality and exceptional wines.
Vega Aixalà and Tòfona de la Conca visit
Before the 4×4 tour through the vineyard, the cellar’s visit and the wine tasting, you may enjoy a tour through the truffle lands with Didac, the owner of Tòfona de la Conca. He is going to show you how the dogs find this black diamond which grows under the earth. Also during the wine tasting you are going to enjoy a truffle tasting.
This event is carried out only during truffle pickup season:
On winter, black truffle, from december to february.
On summer, summer truffle, from may to august.
Oleum Flumen olive farm tour and tasting + Vega Aixalà Cellar tour and tasting (recommended)
We recommend you a very special enogastronomic experience. With this combined tour, you will have the opportunity to visit the unique geography of these places and learn how olive oil and wine are crafted.
The Oleum Flumen tour begins at Finca Les Teixeres (olive grove) in Vinaixa village (Les Garrigues comarca, 20 minutes north-west, a semi-steppe area where several best-of-class olive oils are produced) with an olive oil, vinegar and gourmet products tasting. Then a quick trip to Vilanova de Prades and you are set to enjoy the Vega Aixalà cellar tour and tasting.
